blue lotus offers weekend of yoga classes by-donation for Haiti
RALEIGH, N.C. (January 27, 2010) — blue lotus yoga & movement arts in Downtown Raleigh will celebrate its third anniversary with a weekend of yoga-by-donation, February 5-7, to benefit MercyCorps’ Haiti disaster relief efforts. The blue lotus 3rd Birthday Bash events include 11 yoga classes by-donation, available to yoga students of all levels.
“Each year we celebrate the studio’s birthday with a weekend of yoga-by-donation to benefit a non-profit, in gratitude for the community that supports us,” said Jill Sockman, blue lotus owner and director. “This year it quickly became obvious where we wanted to focus our efforts. Our goal is to raise $2500, and we hope the love, generosity and support of the Raleigh yoga community will help us get there.”
Every class donation made also enters participants’ names into a drawings for gifts from local businesses, with a special gift provided for donations of more than $20. The yoga studio also has established a dedicated blue lotus / MercyCorps’ website for online donations.
blue lotus is located at 401 N. West Street, #105, in the Glenwood South area of Downtown Raleigh. (919) 831-2583; firstname.lastname@example.org.
