advanced training
We are pleased to introduce the blue lotus yoga enrichment program for teachers and dedicated students. It is our intention to guide you further along your path, that you might find a deeper sense of fulfillment in your life and become a greater force for good in the world.
Our training program was created in an open format. You may take any module, in any order. You may complete modules for your own personal growth, for YTT200 CEU, or as credit towards YTT500 certification. Some modules are open only to teachers and/or have pre-requisites, and this information will always be included in the course description.
YTT500 (300-hour program)
If you are interested in YTT500 certification, you should come to us having already completed YTT200. For the additional 300 hours required for YTT500, there are seven required modules. These modules are offered every one to two years. You’ll see YTT500 at the bottom of any flyer or promotional item indicating that those hours count towards the certification process, if that’s the path you choose to take.
In addition to the required module hours, you select workshops and training sessions that further develop your interests and skills:
- Integrated Body (organic anatomy and physiology based work)
- Teaching Skills (alignment, sequencing, hands-on, specialty trainings)
- Applied Philosophy (expanding your knowledge of the deeper practices and philosophies).
You can focus on one area of study or you may prefer to explore the breadth of all three.
Advancement as a teacher of yoga never ends. But we must be students of yoga first, always, to best honor the practice and connect to the highest good. Barring extenuating circumstances, you have four years to complete your hours for the YTT500, completing a minimum of 30 hours per year.
For more information, please refer to the schedule below and visit our Advanced Training FAQ.
