Beloved Blue Community,

As we head toward the close of the year, I’ve been reflecting on the incredible journey we’ve shared — from fourteen years on N. West Street to five unexpected and beautiful years of practicing, studying and retreating together online and in occasional spaces and places in person. What began as a yoga studio became something much bigger: a home for connection, curiosity, presence, and growth.

Over the past year, it’s become clear that blue lotus, as a formal container, has been gently completing itself. The rhythm has changed, teachers and students have stepped into new chapters, and the energy that sustained this space for nearly two decades has naturally evolved into something new. So today I want to share that we’ll complete our final classes scheduled for 2025, and then we’ll lovingly complete this chapter together.

This doesn’t feel like an ending in the heavy sense — it’s another transition. A natural shift. A recognition that what we created together has done what it came here to do, and that its legacy lives on in all of us.

As I said when we left our physical location in the thick of the pandemic: We are not a building. We are not a schedule. We are the way we come together to show up and be changed. The conversations, the service, the friendships, the commitment to growing and being better. None of that disappears. It just takes new forms.

Both in this message below and in the months ahead, I’ll share more about this transition, exciting changes, ways to connect and offerings to celebrate this remarkable era and amazing community.

Thank you for being part of something so very special— in whatever season you were with us. Thank you for helping make blue lotus the kind of place people still speak of with warmth, fondness, and maybe a little longing. It has been an honor to practice with you, serve with you, evolve with you.

With appreciation and love, always,
