The depth and breadth of yoga cannot be experienced in a day, a week, or a year. It is a journey traveled over the course of a lifetime. 9 months of transformation, our Raleigh, N.C.-based yoga teacher training program, is designed to show you more than a series of postures and how to teach them. Rather, it is our intention to help you find your own sadhana, your own truth, through a process of inquiry as unique as you.
This yoga teacher training and immersion program is a journey of self-study and practice — an exploration of your own thoughts, emotions and world views. And as you cultivate that inner awareness, you will come to see that only by living in the heart can we truly thrive - in work, play, relationships; as a student, as a teacher.
We hope you’ll join us as we dive deep into the flow of grace that is Vinyasa yoga, and rest peacefully in the stillness of restorative practices.
blue lotus’s Raleigh-based yoga teacher training program is a Yoga Alliance RYS 200 Registered Yoga School and exceeds all requirements in all categories for yoga teacher registration at the 200-hour level.

Foundations: Orientation, the Krishnamacharya lineage, intro to anatomy and physiology, Patanjali and the 8 limbs of Raja Yoga
October – Friday 3pm – Sunday 4pm
The Subtle Body: Energetic anatomy, sequencing theory, anatomy of breath, Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra
November – Friday noon - Sunday 4pm
Refine Your Practice: the square hip poses, Yoga & Ayurveda, the lower extremities, alignment, the art of teaching
December – Friday 2pm - Sunday 4pm
Prana: Bhava, shakti, and Trance Dance, principals and practice of grounding and opening the heart, the nervous system and emotional body, restorative yoga
January – Friday 1:30pm - Sunday 4pm
Yoga as a healing practice: Working with injury and illness; modifiying asana; anatomy of the upper extremities, arm balances, and inversions; the art of hands on assisting
February – Friday noon - Sunday 4pm
The Spine: Anatomy of the spine and pelvis, prenatal yoga, healthy forward and backward bending
March – Friday noon - Sunday 4pm
Refine your teaching: Finding your voice, anatomy in asana, intelligent sequencing, Thai Yoga
April – Friday noon – Sunday 4pm
Devotion: Asana technique and anatomy review, Bhakti Yoga theory and practice, body reading skills, the living Gita
May – Friday 11:30am - Sunday 4pm
Completing the Circle: Final teaching practice and written evaluations, ethics and business of yoga, closing practice and graduation
